A 26-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in a flat in South Lanarkshire.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Glen Lee in East Kilbride at about 12:10 on Monday.

Police Scotland confirmed a man was arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson said inquiries were ongoing and officers remained at the scene, but there was no wider risk to the public.
