The 2025 event is a partnership between the English Chess Federation, Liverpool City Council and St George's Hall, with support from the Chess Trust and the John Robinson Chess Trust.

Councillor Harry Doyle, said: "Liverpool has a long and rich connection with chess and it's a hugely popular activity in schools and communities so we are delighted to be hosting the British Chess Championships later this summer.
