School where pupils 'thrive' praised by inspectors
A Wolverhampton school where pupils thrive and staff work together effectively has been rated as outstanding by Ofsted inspectors.
Inspectors visited Heath Park School in November and their subsequent report said it "puts the interests of pupils first".
Overall, the quality of education was judged to be good, and behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and sixth form provision were all outstanding.
Adrian Rollins, head of school, said the report reflected the hard work and collaboration of staff, students and parents.
Inspectors also found disadvantaged pupils and pupils with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) achieved well at the school with teachers knowing "in detail the support needed to help these pupils succeed".
Students in the sixth form worked well with an "ambitious" curriculum and an increasing number accessing courses at top universities in recent years, the report said.
