Woman accused of murdering man appears in court

A woman accused of murdering a 60-year-old man has appeared in court.

Georgia Wildman, 30, of Mornington Road, Loughton, Essex, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court earlier.

She is accused of killing John Bain, who died a day after being found seriously injured by police outside his house on Willingale Road, Loughton, on 3 July.

Ms Wildman was told a plea hearing would take place on 9 September and was remanded into custody.

Essex Police said it was called to reports of a "serious assault" on Willingale Road at about 22:20 BST on 3 July.

In a brief court hearing, prosecutor Andrew Jackson said Mr Bain gave a "dying declaration" outside his house.

A provisional trial date has been fixed for 4 November.
