Man and woman dead after 'unexplained' incident

Sussex Police are treating the matter as unexplained as inquiries into the circumstances continue

Two people have been confirmed dead after being found at an address in Bexhill on Friday afternoon.

At around 12:15 BST Sussex Police was called due to concerns for the welfare of two people at an address in College Road.

Officers attended and said they found two people inside the property.

A 75-year-old man was confirmed deceased at the scene, while a 90-year-old woman - who was found with a serious head injury - was declared dead on Saturday.

Police said the matter was currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries were ongoing to try to establish the full circumstances.

The force said residents could expect to see a heightened police presence in the area.
