Fireworks sign blunder proves a comedy banger
Signs put up near a university have prompted an explosion of laughter by warning drivers about a fireworks event taking place on "2th November".
The grammatical error could be seen on boards placed around the Loughborough University campus by its students' union.
The blunder has been shared widely on TikTok, prompting a spectacular display of wisecracks and retorts.
Loughborough Students' Union said the error was an "honest mistake", but added it was glad it had helped bring attention to the event.
'Sparked conversations'
Ben Crouch, 25, from Loughborough, is among those who spotted the mistake.
He said: "I feel like multiple people would have checked the sign. Why did nobody pick up on quite an obvious error?"
A Loughborough Students' Union spokesperson said: "We're delighted that our little slip-up with the '2th of November' has brought so much attention to our Fireworks Extravaganza.
"It was an honest mistake, but if it's sparked conversations and brought more focus to our event, we're thrilled."
