Public welcome to hearing on harbour development
Members of the public have been invited to a hearing on the planning brief for the east coast of Guernsey.
The Local Planning Brief identifies opportunities for development in the St Peter Port and St Sampson Harbour Action Areas.
The hearing is the latest stage of an independent planning inquiry which has to take place before the States can decide whether to accept the brief as an amendment to the Island Development Plan.
The public hearing will take place at 10:00 GMT on 10 December at Les Cotils.
'The necessary foundations'
Deputy Victoria Oliver, president of the development and planning authority, said: "Although this doesn't prescribe what specific developments will come forward and what they might look like, this provides the necessary foundations for the right type of investment in our harbours for the next 10 years."
Anyone is welcome to attend the hearing, she added, but only the eight parties who have made representations will be able to speak.
