A masked man is reported to have approached a child as they walked in Bristol before "grabbing" their arm, police say.

Avon and Somerset Police said the incident reportedly took place in Bishopsworth Road at about 08:45 GMT on 14 March.

"The man is described as being aged in his 30s or 40s and was wearing a face covering at the time," a police spokesperson said.

Officers have spoken to the child's parent and staff at their school.

"An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances and as part of this CCTV enquiries have been carried out," the spokesperson added.
