Sewage system upgrades 'to finish by end of 2024'
Engineers working on sewer system upgrades in Jersey say the work will finish by the end of the year.
The project at Lower Park, which started in September, includes installing a new pipe under Victoria Avenue. The government said it would help with surface water drainage and flooding.
Bosses said the overall aim of the project was to increase the capacity of the sewage system in order to allow for future housing developments and the island's new hospital.
Tom Le Gallais, the government's lead engineer, said the project was safeguarding the future of the sewage system and protecting it from more extreme weather events.
