A Nottinghamshire bus route is being extended to serve a new housing estate and council headquarters.

Stagecoach is beginning a new timetable for the 141 Nottingham to Sutton-in-Ashfield service from 24 February.

Times will be changed to allow the route through Hucknall to be extended further along the A611 Annesley Road.

This will allow it to serve the 805-home community and the new Nottinghamshire County Council building, which is currently under construction.

The authority is due to move out of County Hall in West Bridgford in March and relocate to the £18m Oak House site.

As well as the council's civic, democratic and leadership functions, it will be the new home for two frontline services, the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) for vulnerable children and adults, and its customer service centre, which handles all public enquiries.
