Firefighters have been battling a blaze affecting two large agricultural buildings in a village.

Six crews were called to reports of a significant fire in Finchingfield, Essex, at 06:08 BST.

They found a former poultry shed, measuring 40m by 10m (131ft by 33ft), was alight and the flames had spread to a second structure.

The incident was scaled down at about 08:50, with two crews remaining to monitor the scene.

One person wrote on social media that the firefighters had done an "incredible job" at containing the flames.
