One of the floats is a depiction of a man with a guitar, singing at a microphone. He has brown hair, glasses, red lips and is wearing blue jeans.

This year the parade has a musicals theme. This float is based on A Star is Born - an American film released in 2018 featuring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
Flower Queen Erika Yao leads the parade and will represent the community at a variety of local events across the South Holland district throughout the year.

Thousands of people turned out for the annual Spalding Flower Parade earlier.

About a quarter of a million tulips were hand-picked for the event by volunteers and pinned on to the floats, which paraded through the town.

It's the third year the event has been held since returning from a 10-year break in 2023.

The annual parade began in 1959 to celebrate the area's flower growing.
