Teenage cyclist seriously injured in crash

A 15-year-old boy has been taken to Bristol Children's Hospital

A teenage cyclist has suffered serious injuries in a collision with a white Ford Transit van in Plymouth.

The crash happened at about 17:50 BST on Wednesday at Kings Road in Devonport.

The boy, aged 15, was taken to Derriford Hospital by ambulance before being transferred to Bristol Children's Hospital.

Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team and local response officers closed the road before later re-opening it once the scene had been examined.
