Police issue fresh appeal over fatal crash

A fresh appeal for anyone who witnessed a car crash in North Yorkshire which led to a man's death has been issued by police.
James Roberts, 24, from Alne, was hit by a car on Silver Street in Scarborough just before 01:45 GMT on Saturday 8 March and died at the scene.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said there had been a "positive response" from members of the public to an earlier appeal for witnesses, but urged anyone else with information to get in touch.
Cory Davies, 26, of Victoria Park Avenue in Scarborough, has been charged with murder over Mr Roberts' death and is due to appear at Leeds Crown Court for a pre-trial preparation hearing on 8 April.
Two other men arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to the incident had been released on bail, police said.
'Crucial information'
Det Supt Graeme Wright, from North Yorkshire Police, said: "We have had a good response from members of the public, and we're grateful for the important information they have provided us so far.
"However, there may be other people who saw or heard something but have not yet contacted the police.
"Every piece of information, no matter how small, could be crucial.
"If you were in the area of Silver Street, St Thomas Street, Castle Road and North Marine Road in Scarborough between 1am and 2am on Saturday 8 March, you may still be able to assist our investigation."
