Man arrested on suspicion of attempted rape

A man has been arrested after a woman was sexually assaulted near a shopping centre in Nottingham city centre, police have said.
Officers were called shortly after 04:45 GMT on Sunday after a young woman was assaulted by a man in York Street near the Victoria Centre.
Nottinghamshire Police said a 32-year-old man was arrested on Monday morning on suspicion of attempted rape and remains in custody.
The force had cordoned off a section of the car park entrance as detectives looked through CCTV in the area.
Det Con Laura Manley said: "While these types of incidents are thankfully rare, I appreciate this incident may cause some concern for members of the public.
"I would like to reassure them that we have officers in the area and anyone who is concerned can approach them."
The woman is being supported by specially-trained officers while officers continue with the investigation.
The force added it is still keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area between 04:00 and 05:00 on Sunday.
