Men admit roles in former nightclub cannabis farm
BBCTwo men have admitted their roles in a major cannabis farm discovered in a former nightclub in an Aberdeenshire town.
The production operation was found in the former Deja Vu venue in Peterhead in September last year.
Drugs estimated by police at the time to be worth £1.5m were seized.
Iraldo Sarasellil - who was in the country illegally - and Ronaldo Abazi, both 26, admitted their involvement when they appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court. Sentence was deferred.
Police Scotland had described the find as a "large cannabis cultivation".
Sarasellil and Abazi both admitted that, in Peterhead's Queen Street on 18 September last year, they produced cannabis.
They also admitted being concerned in its supply.
Sarasellil further admitted that in July last year he had knowingly entered the UK, in breach of a deportation order, by an illegal small boat crossing from France, contrary to the Immigration Act.
After the guilty pleas were entered, the court did not hear the facts of the case, or an up-to-date final value for the drugs.
Sentencing was adjourned until next month for the narration of what happened, and background reports on the two men.
