Ex-Coronation Street star's film released online

A short film starring one of the best-known faces from Coronation Street has been released free of charge online.
Thelma Barlow, who played iconic character Mavis Wilton for 26 years, features in comedy Sleepless in Settle, which was filmed in Rye in East Sussex.
The film was written and directed by actress Judy Flynn, who is based in the town.
Ms Barlow, who came out of retirement to make the film aged 94, said she was "delighted such a sweet comedy will be able to get a wider audience".
The actress, who lives in Faversham in Kent, said: "The film is just the sort of thing people need right now - a gentle comedy.
"It has a very sweet message that people of different generations can successfully live together.
"It was such fun to make."
Sleepless in Settle is a 20-minute long comedy filmed entirely in Rye and Rye Harbour in September 2023.
Ms Barlow plays Barbara, who is trying to find a wife for her son.

Filming took place over three days in the Old Vicarage in Rye Harbour, a garden centre and a community centre in the town.
The film held its premiere in the town in June.
It has had various screenings, as well as appearing at a festival in Lewes.
The film is now available free of charge on YouTube.
Ms Flynn, said: "I think Thelma Barlow is an incredible woman, a brilliant actress and someone to be treasured.
"I really hope people will enjoy seeing the film."
