Passengers returning to Manchester Airport were facing delays in immigration after a power cut affected computer systems.

The issue was affecting passport processing desks in Terminal 3, an airport spokesman said.

Flights were not affected and technicians were working to fix the problem and staff were on hand to assist passengers, he added.

A statement posted on X added: "We are aware of technical issues affecting some systems in Terminal 3 this evening. We are working to fix the issue as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience."

In a later update, the airport said by 23:00 BST the problem had been resolved.
