JCB worker hurt as arm gets trapped in machinery
A worker at JCB was seriously hurt when his arm became trapped under machinery.
The man, in his 20s, was injured when his arm got trapped on a production line at the firm’s headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, at about 07:30 BST.
Fire crews used specialist equipment to lift the machinery and free the man, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said. A spokesperson for JCB said the employee was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment.
“An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is now under way,” they added.
Staffordshire Police said officers remained at the scene and the Health and Safety Executive had been informed about the incident.
