Over-55s invited to try pickleball

People aged 55 and over are being invited to take up pickleball at a leisure centre in Lincolnshire.
Pickleball is a blend of tennis, badminton and ping-pong and can be played by single players or in pairs, either indoors or outside.
Leisure centre One NK in North Hykeham said, in recent years, the sport had "really grown in popularity in the UK".
Better Community Sports Officer Jamie Cheevers said: "I think a lot of its appeal is that it's a low impact sport which suits people of all ages and fitness levels."
"Most people find it easy to pick up, and you don't need to have any racquet sport experience to play," he added.
"It's really sociable too, and our first session has seen players have lots of fun. I encourage anyone who's interested in trying it out for the first time to come down and see what's going on."
Sessions are available at One NK every Tuesday from 09:15 to 10:15 BST.
