Norfolk Police was called to reports of a boy found unresponsive in Wymondham

A 13-year-old boy has died in hospital after being found unresponsive by family members.

Norfolk Police was called by East of England Ambulance Service to Rugby Way, Wymondham, at about 20:40 BST on Sunday.

The boy received medical treatment at the scene, before being taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and later transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, where he died on Friday.

A police spokesperson said: "Police are not treating the death as suspicious."

An air ambulance also attended the scene.

Police put a cordon in place and removed it the following day.

The force said a file would be prepared for the coroner, and said its thoughts were with the boy's family.
