A teenager has been charged with offences connected to street disorder in a Leeds suburb last year.

The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear before Leeds Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with violent disorder and arson.

The offences are alleged to have occurred after trouble flared in Harehills on the evening of 18 July.

West Yorkshire Police said the boy was the 19th individual charged in connection to the disorder, which saw a police car overturned and a double-decker bus torched.
