Western route closed for TT equipment installation

Daytime closures on a road in the west of the Isle of Man for the installation of TT equipment and kerb painting have begun.

A section of the A3, between Ballig Bridge and Cronk Y Voddy Crossroads is beings shut between 09:30 and 16:30 BST until Thursday.

Traffic is being diverted via the Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road during the closures, but resident access has been maintained and scheduled buses will operate through the works.

Benney Phott Road is also closed from 09:30 until 16:30 until 2 May to allow for road stud replacements.

The road is a link between the A3 at Barregarrow Crossroads and the A18 Mountain Road.
