Lifesaving charities receive highways donations
National Highways has donated £12,000 to two Cornish charities who help save lives across the county.
The organisation said it had given £10,000 as part of its social value fund to Cornwall Blood Bikes to help purchase a new motorbike for its fleet.
It has also donated £2,000 to the Cornwall Air Ambulance to buy a new flight suit for the crew.
The donations have been allocated following the recent upgrade work on the A30 between Chiverton and Carland Cross with the aim of helping charities and projects based near where the work took place.
