Attempted murder arrest after man, 88, attacked

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an 88-year-old man was badly injured in an attack in Evesham.

Officers were called to Murcot Turn in Broadway, Evesham at about 21:35 BST on Sunday.

West Mercia Police said the victim was taken to hospital for further treatment.

A 46-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody for questioning.
