Tribute to 'devoted' mother killed in crash
The family of a woman who died in a collision in Stoke-on-Trent have paid tribute to her, calling her "a big character with an even bigger heart".
Sharon Taft was on-foot when a black Kia Ceed collided with her on Blurton Road at 11:36 GMT on Monday.
The 56-year-old from Forsbrook died as a result of her injuries at the scene.
In a tribute to her, her family said: "As a family, we’re still coming to terms with the massive hole that’s been created in our world."
They said she was a "devoted mum, nanny, partner, sister and friend to many".
The tribute continued: "Her absence will be felt deeply and her grandchildren love and miss her so much already.
“Her youngest daughter Milli wants people to know that her mum was such a gorgeous woman who lit up any room she walked in.
"She made sure that everyone was better off before herself.
Milli said: "I will miss her forever and ever and love her lots."
Anyone who saw what happened or those with CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage of the area that have not spoken to police already are asked to contact Staffordshire Police.
