Fundraising ride planned for horse charity
Mane Focus PhotographyMore than 175 people will take part in a sponsored horse ride through Clandon Park in Surrey to fundraise for a riding charity for people with disabilities.
The event on Sunday will see participants raise money for Horsley, Bookham and Leatherhead Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA).
It is the first of two events taking place in 2024 and will follow a 7.5 mile (12km) course across the private 1,000-acre estate.
Joanna Marsh, RDA fundraising trustee, said: "We are thrilled with the support of everyone to make these events happen and hopefully become a firm fixture in the equestrian calendar.

She said the charity hoped to raise more than £10,000 per year and that these funds were "critical" to supporting its work.
Miss Marsh also thanked landowners Lord and Lady Onslow, the team at Clandon Park and all volunteers and supporters who would make it an "amazing event".
The Effingham-based RDA provides therapeutic riding sessions for children and adults with disabilities and additional needs.
The association has 11 ponies, over 80 local volunteers and gives more than 105 therapeutic riding sessions each week to local children and young adults.
A second ride will take place on 22 September.
