Weather warning issued over heavy rain forecast
Forecasters have warned of "persistent and heavy" rain expected to fall across Essex.
The Met Office said a yellow weather warning would be in place from 22:00 GMT on Tuesday until 12:00 on Wednesday.
Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock were forecast to feel the strongest impact of rainfall that could reach 30-40mm in some areas.
Residents have been warned disruption to travel and infrastructure was likely during the inclement weather.
