The body of a 98-year-old man who went missing in Swansea was found inside his car in the sea, an inquest opening has heard.

Reginald Rees from Crofty on the Gower Peninsula was found close to a cliff in Rhossili Bay on 18 August, Swansea Coroner's Court was told.

He was reported missing on 14 August after concerns were raised about his "low mood". He was last seen driving a red Renault Captur from his home.

A post-mortem showed he had multiple injuries following a road traffic collision.

Coroner Aled Gruffydd heard there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and the inquest has been adjourned until February.
