Two teenage boys have been arrested after a man and teenager were stabbed.
Police were called to reports of a serious assault in Raglan Terrace, Yeovil, at around 15:30 GMT on Wednesday.
A man in his 50s and a teenage boy were taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, have since been arrested and remain in custody, according to Avon and Somerset Police.
The 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and affray. The 16-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing a knife in a public place and affray.
The man remains in hospital with serious but not life-changing injuries. The teenager's injuries were described as superficial and he has been discharged from hospital.
Neighbourhood Policing Insp Roseanna Green said the incident is understandably "alarming and distressing" for the community.
She said: "We have dedicated resources carrying out enquiries into this incident and members of the public can expect to see a heightened police presence over the coming days."
She added that officers will be carrying out high-visibility patrols and working with schools in the area to provide reassurance.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have footage, has been asked to contact police.
