Woman suffers serious injuries in 'glass attack'

Police are appealing for information after a woman suffered serious facial injuries when she was attacked as she got into a taxi.
The woman, in her 50s, was assaulted shortly after leaving a pub in Carlton Hill in Carlton, Nottnghamshire, at about 21:20 BST on Sunday.
She was taken to hospital with "significant injuries" believed to have been caused by a glass, Nottinghamshire Police said.
"We have already analysed a large amount of CCTV footage and have spoken to multiple witnesses, but are now making a public appeal for others to come forward," said Det Con Gemma Piggott.
"We are particularly keen to hear from any drivers who may have passed a blue taxi as it picked up passengers near to the junctions with First and Second Avenue."
