Multiple vehicles had their windows smashed in an overnight spate of vandalism.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers responded to reports of a man with a hammer and a machete damaging cars in Easton, Bristol.

The force said 11 vehicles on Berwick Road were damaged in the attack in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A man in his 30s was arrested on nearby Stapleton Road on suspicion of affray and criminal damage, and remains in custody, the force added.

Police are appealing for CCTV or information which could help the investigation.
