Arrest in Greece as part of Ormskirk murder probe

A man been arrested in Greece over the murder of a teenager in Lancashire.

Matthew Daulby, 19, from Liverpool, was stabbed to death in Ormskirk on 29 July 2023.

Thomas Dures, 21, was arrested in Athens on Monday and appeared in court in Greece earlier, Lancashire Police said.

The force said arrangements are being made to bring him back to the UK.

In a tribute after Mr Daulby's death, his family described him as "compassionate, loving and funny".

They said he had "a bright future ahead of him".

They added: "He had a zest for life and was always looking forward to holidays with his family and friends."
