Northern Gas Networks says engineers are working on the junction of Hall Road and Beverley Road

A company has apologised after a gas leak caused travel disruption at a major junction in Hull.

Northern Gas Networks said engineers had been "conducting investigations and repairs" at the junction of Hall Road and Beverley Road since the leak on Wednesday morning.

The firm said it "made the situation safe" and installed temporary three-way traffic lights while repair work was being carried out.

Operations Manager Chris Keith said: "We are aware it is a busy junction and apologise for any inconvenience this causes. Safety is our priority, and we're working as quickly as possible to complete this work."
