New CCTV footage of nurse missing for three days

Police searching for a woman missing from her home for more than three days have issued a CCTV image of her caught on camera on the morning she disappeared.

Victoria Taylor, 34, was last seen at her home in Malton at about 09:00 BST on Monday, according to North Yorkshire Police.

She was later seen on CCTV at the BP garage on Welham Road in the Norton area of the town at about 11:35 BST the same day.

Police said a number of Ms Taylor's possessions had since been found near the River Derwent and Insp Martin Dennison said officers were now "very concerned".

"Like her family and friends, we just want to see her safe and well," Insp Dennison said.

“I would urge the public to be cautious if looking for Victoria near the river. Our officers have specialist training and equipment, and they are used to working in various terrains."

Officers from the underwater unit were among those who had carried out "extensive" searches and drones had been used to search the area from above, a force spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, "multiple" inquiries had been carried out and "hours" of CCTV footage taken in the area where Ms Taylor was last seen had also been reviewed, they said.

Ms Taylor was described by police as white and about 5ft 6ins (1.7m) tall.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black Adidas puffa jacket with white stripes down the sleeves.

She was also wearing a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper and she was carrying a salmon or pink Vans backpack, police said.

Insp Dennison asked anyone with information which could help in the search for Ms Taylor to contact police on 101.

"Any immediate sightings should be reported to 999," he added.

Volunteers met at a local pub before searching for Ms Taylor earlier. She works as a nurse at a care home and has a two-year-old daughter.
