Investigation into pedestrian death on rail line

Accident investigators are to look into how someone using a pedestrian crossing over a rail line died after being hit by a train.
The fatal incident happened on the Pewsey footpath crossing in Wiltshire on 26 February at about 13:56 GMT.
The gated footpath links the residential part of the village and the countryside to the north of the railway.
The train involved was travelling at about 154 km/h (96 mph) at the time of the accident, according the the Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB).
The RAIB said it will publish its findings and any recommendations once the investigation is finished.
Its staff will be looking into the sequence of events that led to the death, any previous incidents at the site and how Network Rail dealt with any risks at the crossing, it added.
The RAIB investigation is independent to any others carried out by the railway industry or by its regulator, the Office of Rail and Road.
