Men sought after pitbull attack in park
Two men whose unleashed dog attacked and injured an 85-year-old man's pet labrador, causing him to fall over while protecting it, are being sought by police.
The incident in Hall Lane Park, Harrogate, on 19 November, happened between 19:00 GMT and 19:30 GMT and left the victim "shaken and upset", officers said.
A spokesperson said an "out-of-control white pitbull-type dog" was being walked by two white men, wearing dark clothing, who were thought to be in their twenties and had left the park without providing any details.
North Yorkshire Police has appealed for anyone who saw the incident, or who can identify the two men or the attacking dog, to get in touch.
The pitbull was also not wearing a muzzle, police added.
