Cyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in crash

A cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after a collision with a car which saw a road closed for several hours.

Norfolk Police said the incident, which involved a blue Land Rover Defender and a red pedal cycle, happened at about 08:10 GMT on Friday in Bunwell, at the junction of Bunwell Street and Church Lane.

The road was closed while emergency services, including an ambulance crew, attended the scene and the cyclist was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. It reopened at 14:30.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the collision, or who may have "relevant" dashcam footage to contact them.
