No charges in motorcyclist crash death probe
Two men arrested as part of the investigation into the death of a motorcyclist in the west of the Isle of Man have been released without charge, police have confirmed.
Nesta Haselden, 21, suffered fatal injuries in the crash near QEII High School on the A1 Douglas to Peel road at about 16:20 BST on 7 August.
A spokeswoman for the Isle of Man Constabulary said there had been a “thorough investigation” into the incident, which also involved two cars.
“A review of all evidence has been conducted by staff from the Attorney General’s Chambers, who advised that both drivers be released without charge," she said.
"The police have updated and continue to support the family of Nesta Haselden and will now provide evidence to assist the coroner of inquests," she added.
An inquest opened at Douglas Courthouse in August heard that the private banker and youth worker, who lived in Peel, died as a result of head injuries consistent with a road traffic collision.
