Two men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and grievous bodily harm with intent after a 16-year-old boy was assaulted.

The pair, aged 20 and 26, are also being held on suspicion of false imprisonment.

The victim, from Bath, was assaulted by a group of people on Saturday near the post office in Corston, Somerset, at about 22:30 GMT.

He was later found five miles (8km) away on Broomhill Road, in the Brislington area of Bristol, and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

He has since been discharged, and the two men were arrested late on Sunday evening.

They both remain in police custody.
