Driver in serious condition after car hits tree

A woman has suffered serious injuries after her car left a road and hit a tree in Dorset.
The 31-year-old from Bridport was arrested on suspicion of driving offences following the crash near Beaminster at 00:45 BST.
Dorset Police said she had been taken to hospital where she remained in a "very serious condition".
The A3066 between Melplash and Beaminster was closed following the crash involving a red Kia Rio.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to aid their investigation.
