Police investigating town stabbing make an arrest

Police investigating a stabbing in a town street have made an arrest.

Cambridgeshire Police said an an investigation was launched after officers were called to Church Terrace, Wisbech on Monday at 12:25 GMT.

A 35-year-old man, of no fixed address has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and remains in custody.

The victim was taken to hospital with "serious injuries", said a police spokesperson.
