A woman was bitten by a dog as she walked in a park in Leicester.

The attack was in Knighton Park at about 09:30 GMT on Saturday, said Leicestershire Police.

The dog was off its lead when it approached the woman near the children's playground and jumped at her, biting her fingers, knee and elbows.

The male owner left the scene with the dog, said the force, and was photographed by the victim as he left.
