Motorists warned over upcoming A63 weekend closure

Part of the A63 in Hull will be closed for an entire weekend next month during the ongoing major roadworks in the city centre.
The closure will allow engineers to pour more than 1,000 cubic metres of concrete into the Castle Street underpass – something described by National Highways as a "key milestone" in the project.
The road will be shut in both directions between Daltry Street and Roger Millward Way from 20:00 on 7 March until 06:00 on 10 March.
The project involves lowering the A63 to create a split-level junction with Ferensway and Commercial Road.
The scheme had been due to finish in April, but the completion date has been pushed back to spring next year because of "extremely challenging ground conditions".
