A man has been charged with attempted murder after two people were injured last summer.

West Midlands Police said Jordan Edwards, 31, from Birmingham, was also charged with possession of firearms with intent to endanger life and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Police said the charges followed an incident on 28 August on Clapgate Lane, Bartley Green, where a man suffered a gunshot wound and another man suffered a fractured skull.

Mr Edwards was remanded in custody and was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today for a first hearing.

Police said they had also charged Kristine Ermansone, 36, from Birmingham, with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Ms Ermansone was also remanded in custody and was due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today for a first hearing.

The police added that the two victims of the August incident continued to recover from their injuries.
