The site of a tip closed by Bradford Council earlier this year has gone on the market.

Ford Hill tip in Queensbury is listed for sale at £750,000, as estate agent Mark Brearley & Co said the site had potential for residential or commercial development.

The site was one of three closed by the authority as part of cost-cutting measures, along with Sugden End in Keighley and Golden Butts in Ilkley.

The council said previously the three closures would save £900,000 a year, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

The estate agent firm described the site, on Hill Lane End, as "a large yard/depot extending to approximately 0.45 hectares (1.04 acres) with potential for residential or commercial development – subject to planning permission".

It said: "The surrounding area is predominantly residential in nature, although nearby is the large Shibden Head Academy and also Trinity Academy."
