Two stolen horses found as one remains missing
Two horses stolen from stables in Hartley near New Ash Green have been found, Kent Police has said.
The animals were taken between 21 and 22 November, after fencing was damaged by thieves and they were led through a field onto Ash Road.
Following an appeal, officers "followed several lines of enquiry to establish the animals’ whereabouts," said police.
A four-year-old horse, described as brown with white feet and a white stripe on her nose, remains missing and police have appealed for information.
"Investigating officers have located and recovered two of three horses which had been stolen from stables in Hartley near New Ash Green," they said.
"On Monday 2 December, patrols attended a location off Shamrock Road, Gravesend where two white horses were seized and successfully reunited with their rightful owner.
"An investigation remains ongoing and officers are continuing to appeal to anyone with information to call the West Kent appeals lines on 01622 604100."
