Classic car owners in Jersey are set to get together to raise money for a children's charity this weekend.

The Jersey Classic Vehicle Club (JCVC) is taking part in Drive it Day, a UK-wide rally series which is raising money for the NSPCC.

JCVC said it had sold 40 special Drive it Day plates, costing between £12.50 and £30 each, and will be collecting cash donations on the day - with all profits going to the local branch of the NSPCC.

A spokesperson said the group would meet at St Clement's Parish Hall on Sunday morning at 10:30 BST before the car owners set off on a drive around the island.
