Telegraph pole 'destroyed' after lorry crash
A lorry driver has escaped with "minor injuries" after a collision "completely destroyed" a telegraph pole in Devon, according to spokespeople for the police and fire service.
The single vehicle crash happened on the A35, Raymond's Hill at about 06:50 BST on Monday.
The road between Charmouth roundabout to The Hunters Lodge Inn was reopened at 12:30 after the vehicle was recovered.
Devon and Cornwall Police said no arrests had been made and BT workers had attended the scene to repair the damaged telegraph pole.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews from Axminster and Charmouth also attended the incident, along with South West Ambulance Service.
A fire service spokesperson confirmed the driver only required first aid treatment following the crash.
