Two suspects have been arrested after an altercation between a group of men in which a person was stabbed.

Suffolk Police said it was called to Woodbridge at about 20:25 GMT on Thursday after the alleged victim suffered a single stab wound to the hand and reported being punched several times in the face.

Two men aged 20 and 36, from Woodbridge, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

A third person remained outstanding, however detectives believed the victim and suspects knew each other, and so it was being treated as an isolated incident.

The scuffle in Old Barrack Road is believed to have taken place near the Co-op store.

Police described the alleged victim's injuries as non-life threatening.

Any witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV or doorbell camera footage was asked to contact the force.
